Tick prices come from the chart exchange feeds (Kraken / Twelve Data / ECB); the rates table below uses the PipAtlas server feed — different sources can differ by a pip or two.

📖 How to read this chart (60 seconds)
- Green candle = price closed higher than it opened · Red candle = closed lower. The thin wicks show the high and low touched.
- Hover or touch any candle for its exact open · high · low · close. The dashed line with the price tag on the right edge is the latest price.
- SMA 20 / SMA 50 trace the average price of the last 20 / 50 candles — price above the line leans bullish, below leans bearish. Bollinger draws the usual high-low range. RSI 14 (pane below) is a 0–100 speed gauge: above 70 stretched up, under 30 stretched down — a caution, not a buy/sell signal.
- Zoom − / + steps through how many candles you see (click the number to reset) · + Level then click the chart pins a horizontal price line (handy for stops and targets) · ✕ Clear removes pins · 🖼 PNG saves a snapshot · ⛶ Full goes fullscreen.

Getting the most from the chart
- Timeframes: H1/H4 for swing structure, M15 for entries, D1 for context. New traders should start on H4 — less noise, fewer fake signals.
- Keep it clean: raw price candles beat indicator soup. Build your own studies with the free source in our scripts library.
- Drawing discipline: mark only what matters — swing highs/lows, session ranges, your actual stop/target levels.
- Session context: volatility clusters at session opens — check the Economic Calendar before you trade.

Frequently asked questions — Live Forex Charts & Rates
Where does the data come from?
Free open APIs, rendered directly in your browser: Kraken public API streams crypto OHLC candles on every timeframe with 30-second auto-refresh; ECB reference rates via frankfurter.dev + ExchangeRate-API power forex daily candles, the rates table and the converter; CoinGecko provides crypto spot/history; the currency-api CDN (fawazahmed0, keyless) adds daily gold & silver; Twelve Data adds real intraday candles for JPY-crosses, NZD/USD and gold through a cached, credit-guarded server proxy (optional \u2014 when its key is not configured those markets say so honestly and stay daily-only). No TradingView, no embeds.
Why isn't forex intraday?
There is no free, key-less intraday FX feed that browsers may call directly (exchange policies + CORS). Rather than fake it, forex charts draw the official ECB daily series with the latest spot price — the same reference data banks quote from. Crypto has no such restriction, so it streams fully live.
Are these prices executable for trading?
No — ECB reference rates update once per trading day and embeds are indicative. Live, tradeable prices come from your broker's platform.
Which pairs should a beginner watch?
Start with EURUSD — the deepest, tightest-spread market. Add gold once you understand how news moves it. One well-read chart beats six glanced-at ones.
