Each guide pairs equivalent code side by side — same logic, both languages — and ships a free, original, MIT-licensed template you can run today. Demo-test everything: translation bugs are cheaper on demo.

Translation notes — Pine Script v5 → MQL5
- Pine strategies evaluate on bar close; MQL5 OnTick fires on every tick — add a new-bar gate or your logic runs intrabar with different fills.
- strategy.position_size maps to a net position via PositionSelect(_Symbol); on hedging accounts track tickets instead.
- Pine repainting (request.security lookahead) has no MQL5 equivalent — MT5 forces you to be explicit about which bar you read.

Demo-first, always. Templates are teaching scaffolds with risk guards on by default — never run untested code on a live account.
